Dennis Ming
SHIHAN, 4TH DAN
Sensei Ming began Karate in 1985 under Sensei Dale Shwed before migrating to the Calgary Chito Ryu Karate Club in 1986, run by Sensei Rick Rowell. In 1997 Rupe Joshi, Andre Buret, and Dennis Ming took charge of the club when Rowell Sensei decided to retire.
Sensei Ming believes most people can achieve their personal goals. Physical training, mental and emotional exercises, dedication, focus, and patience are the keys. Karate is the perfect way to learn these skills. His greatest reward is watching karateka, in particular his daughter Jennifer, (Mini), improve.
Dennis has a BSc (Biology/Chemistry) and a BEd. (Science). He recently retired from a 35 year teaching career, that included 30 years of coaching.
